"So what you doing out there in...where did you said it was again, Albuquerque?"

Actually Santa Fe, but thats just nitpicking....So after Felicia and I got a house, I got a job (i work for NMculturenet's poets in schools program), and a slightly more reliable automobile (cue the death march for my old cirrus).
Then I was lucky enough to get a grant (FAAR - check it)
Lately Felicia has been bustin her hump at the Collected Works bookstore. I been sorting through a ton of grant applications and submissions, writing and then revising writing. In the midst of it all I have managed to get some fun performance opportunities for myself.
THIS SEPTEMBER
I am speaking on a panel about poetry and community and performing
some short sets at STIR: A festival of words in Albuquerque
Sept 12, 13, and 14th
I am going to perform portions of this new work, a solo piece, called
BULLET BITES MAN @ the High Mayhem Festival in Santa Fe
somewhere during the weekend of Sept 19, 20, and 21st
I am presenting a lecture and performance addressing hip hop
culture and aethestics @ The Center for Contemporary Arts
at the end of Sept/beginning of OCT (more details on that to come)
Things are good for us both - the vibe is chill, the sun shines almost every day,
the chile is flavorful, the beer cold, drop me a line sometime and I'll
tell you more about it
peace
Idris
